Hi, I’m Carina, and welcome to my flowery world!

There’s a video of me at seven years old where someone asks what I want to be when I grow up.

My answer? A florist.

It seems I was pretty clear on my career plan from the start! Although it took me a little while to get here, my love of flowers has been woven through my life for as long as I can remember. My mum and grandparents were the ones who sparked it all. I have wonderful memories of arranging flowers in my grandmother’s kitchen and helping my grandfather in his greenhouse. So perhaps I was always destined to end up surrounded by blooms.

Fast forward a few decades, and here I am, doing exactly what seven-year-old Carina dreamed of.

Flowers with personality

I created Teazle and Bear for couples who really love flowers. The ones who want their wedding flowers to feel romantic, charismatic and completely personal rather than simply ticking a few boxes on a wedding checklist.

I love getting to know the people behind the wedding and finding out what makes you you. Your love stories, favourite colours, the places you adore, the little details you've been dreaming about, the overall feeling you want your day to have. All of those things can become part of the floral story.

And while I’m very happy to get lost in the pretty stuff (obviously!), I’m equally passionate about the practical side of things. I think about how flowers will work within your venue, how we can make the most of your budget and, wherever possible, how we can reuse and repurpose your flowers throughout the day.

Flowers with a lighter footprint

Being thoughtful about where our flowers and materials come from is really important to me too.

I use sustainable techniques and materials wherever I can, and I’m a huge advocate for making your wedding flowers work harder. Whether that means repurposing ceremony flowers for your reception, choosing designs that can be enjoyed in more than one place, or avoiding unnecessary waste.

I also love working with British-grown flowers when they’re in season, particularly from spring through to early autumn. There’s something rather special about using flowers that are grown much closer to home, and their natural seasonality can bring an extra layer of character to your designs.
